Developing a New Series for Arte Laguna

I am currently working on a new series of paintings prepared for submission to Arte Laguna Prize.

This body of work builds upon my ongoing interest in metaphysical surrealism, exploring the fragile boundary between memory and the present moment. Through layered painterly structures, I examine how time accumulates, dissolves, and reappears within visual space.

The studio process has become increasingly reflective. Rather than constructing fixed narratives, I am creating spaces that invite the viewer to pause and enter a moment of quiet contemplation.

The series remains open and evolving. What matters most at this stage is not resolution, but attentiveness — to material, to silence, and to what slowly emerges.
