About the work

The paintings depict a partially emerged human figure suspended between nympha(insect)-like instinct and conscious selfhood.
The pupa/nymph becomes both shelter and prison — a structure that must rupture in order for identity to emerge.
The work explores transformation not as completion, but as an unstable threshold between becoming and dissolution.
